Veteran Actor Dharmendra Admitted To Breach Candy Hospital

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, as per the reports. The news of the veteran actor Dharmendra came after a week when reportedly went to the hospital for a medical check-up. This later raised concerns about his health issue. After the speculation of his ill health, his wife, Hema Malini, had earlier assured the media that he was alright. 

What happened to Dharmendra?

Notably, the 89-year-old actor was reportedly rushed to hospital more than a week ago after he complained of breathlessness. Notably, Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery, in April. The actor will celebrate his 90th birthday on December, 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, as per the reports of Mid-Day, a source close to the actor revealed that Dharmendra is under observation and "there is nothing to worry about".

Meanwhile, talking about Dharmendra's filmy career, he made his debut in the film industry in 1960 with the film 'Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere'. Later, the actor appeared in several films like Bandini, Anpadh, Anupama and Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke.

Dharmendra is known for his iconic role in film such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Dharam Veer, Dream Girl, Mera Gaon Mera Desh and many more.

What Hema Malini said about Dharmendra's health earlier?

Earlier this month, when Dharmendra visited the hospital, his wife and veteran actress and politician Hema Malini, talked about his health update. Several reports of his ill health surfaced online. Earlier, when a reporter asked about the actors health, Hema Malini responded by a simple gesture and said, “okay”. Later, she also expressed her gratitude by folding her hands.

Meanwhile, sources close to the actor revealed, it was a routine health checkup. “Yes, Dharmendra is currently at Breach Candy Hospital, but there is absolutely no cause for concern. The actor is in good health and visits the hospital often for routine medical tests, which is the reason for his current stay. It seems that someone spotted him there, which has led to a frenzy among his fans, but there is nothing to be worried about as he is absolutely fine,” said the source.
